As creepy as this sounds, this is a fantastic book. Well, can't expecting anything less from something printed by Oxford University Press, right? ;)The book is a compilation of various articles about modern day polygamy, that ranges from their history to modern day statistics. I learned a lot from reading about them, and frankly, much more about my religion. There are many parallels to the stories of modern day polygamists and those of our past church leaders- isolation, persecution, determination... learning about them has helped me view this group of people in a whole different light. It has made me much more sympathetic to their cause, even if I disagree with their religious beliefs.
Recommended? A definite yes.
